Promoted annually by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), the Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and Web Systems (WebMedia) is the main area event in Brazil and an excellent opportunity for scientific and technical exchanges between students, researchers and professionals in the areas of Multimedia, Hypermedia and Web. This year, we will be celebrating the 26th. edition of WebMedia, to be held from November 30 to December 4, 2020, organized by the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA). And, for the first time, the event will be held online, with interaction between participants being made through Web tools and platforms.
We invite the community to share their experiences and research results, by submitting articles describing solutions that advance the state-of-the-art in the areas and themes of interest to the event. The submitted articles will be evaluated in terms of originality, technical quality, relevance, presentation (organization, style and clarity) and adequacy of references to works in the state-of-the-art of the topics covered.
Each article submitted will be reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee and invited experts. The presentation of each accepted work will be done through tools and platforms that allow remote interaction between the presenter and the WebMedia community.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
Authors can submit articles for WebMedia 2020 in the FULL PAPER or SHORT PAPER categories.
Full papers will be evaluated as research work already completed or in an advanced stage of development, with innovative ideas and results and following appropriate scientific methodology. They must have up to 8 pages (including figures, tables, diagrams, references and attachments). Only papers in this category will be considered in the selection of the best papers. In 2020, papers submitted as FULL may be accepted for publication as SHORT, according to the evaluation of the Program Committee.

The papers can be written in Portuguese or English. Papers written in Portuguese should have both the title and abstract in English and, optionally, the abstract in Portuguese. This is a requirement of ACM, so even if it is an article in Portuguese, it must have a title and abstract in English.
Papers should be written to allow double-blind review. Thus authors’ identifications must be replaced by “removed for double-blind review” both at the beginning of the article and in any references to their previous work.
Authors are encouraged to review previous WebMedia publications to see if their theme fits the symposium’s lines of interest. Also, consider the pertinence of including references to related works presented in previous editions of WebMedia, to assist the reviewers in evaluating the contribution, in particular, in the scope of WebMedia.
The event proceedings, containing full and short articles, will be published in the ACM Digital Library. Will be published by ACM only those articles whose authors comply with the deadlines established for submitting the final version to the publisher responsible for the proceedings. Besides, this publication will be conditioned to the registration of at least one of its authors in the event.
PAPER SUBMISSION
Submissions should be made in PDF, following the standard ACM format that is available at (https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template). Authors should use the LaTeX template for ACM conferences using the acmart class in the sigconf format.
