Call for papers

We are delighted to invite you to submit quality papers describing original research and new findings on technological and theoretical aspects related to Multimedia, Hypermedia and the Web at WebMedia’2016 (XXII Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web).

Authors are invited to submit papers reporting research results, which will be evaluated in terms of: originality, technical content and accuracy, significance of the work, presentation (organization, style and clearness), and appropriateness of references to papers presented in earlier editions of the event. The event holds the following categories:

– Full papers

– Short papers

– Workshop on Ongoing Thesis and Dissertations (WTD)

– Workshop on Tools and Applications (WFA)

– Workshop on Undergraduate Research Work (WTIC)

– International Workshop on Synchronism of Things (WSoT)

– Short Courses

The papers can address the following three main topics:

– Digital TV, Ubiquitous and Mobile Computing

– Web and Social Networks

– Multimedia

The Proceedings, containing the full and short papers, will be published in the ACM DL during the event. Due to editorial requirements, only papers whose authors meet the hard deadlines for submitting the final version will be published in the proceedings.

Upon submitting a manuscript, authors assume the commitment that, if the paper is accepted, at least one author will register in the conference and present the paper.

Authors can submit full or short papers. Full papers can have a length of up to 8 pages at submission and should report on substantial research supported by complete results. Short papers submission are limited to 4 pages and may describe ongoing work and contain partial results.

Papers must be prepared to allow double-blind review, which requires removing any information which may suggest who the authors are (in the first page, in the references etc.).

Papers can be written either in English or Portuguese. Papers in Portuguese must include an abstract in English, and optionally an abstract in Portuguese.

The submissions must be in PDF, complying with the ACM format.

All papers must be submitted electronically by the JEMS system.
